eclipse

There is less than a few days until the total solar eclipse on August 21. On this day, the solar eclipse will sweep from the West to East Coasts of the U.S. for the first time since 1918. The eclipse will occur when the moon covers 100 percent of the sun’s disk. Pretty cool!

I feel that Monday will be an auspicious day. Some believe the eclipse will bring unfavorable results. I think it all comes down to how you look at this planetary alignment.

When we are in our body’s optimal alignment in our yoga postures, we feel balanced, relaxed and joyful. Similarly, when the sun and moon line up with one another to create an eclipse, it too can be an opportune time to create more balance, more happiness and more joy in life.

Creating an intention in the next day or two will plant a promising seed for the days to come. The type of intention I plan on creating will be something I want to eclipse or let go of from my life that is no longer serving me. When the full sun and light return, I plan on replacing it with an intention that will enliven and inspire me in some way.

What would you like to release in your life? And what light would you like to bring in?

May the momentary darkness on Monday bring great light and joy.
